Norman J. Bressler, 86, formerly of the Providence House, Reading, died February 25th at 7:05 pm in the Masonic Village Elizabethtown, Lancaster County, where he had been since January 2nd.
He was the widower of Dorothy N. (Druzba) Bressler, who died November 2, 1996.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Norman J. Sr., and Catherine (Yoder) Bressler.
He was an owner of Bresco Inc., Temple for 25 years, before retiring in 1983.
Bressler was a member of Spring Valley Church of God.
He was a 1936 graduate of Reading High School and attended Albright College, Reading.
Bressler was a 3rd Degree Mason and a 32nd Degree Mason of Scottish Rite.
He was also a past president of the Reception Committee of Rajah Shriners.
Bressler is survived by two daughters, Kathryn (Bressler) Hertz of Spring Township and Maryann (Bressler) Spatz of Mohrsville.
Other survivors include two sons, James Bressler of Ephrata and Larry Bressler of Oley.
He is also survived by a sister, Sarah Bressler of Topton.
There are also seven grandchildren and one great grandson.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 11:00am in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607-1460 or to Masonic Village Elizabethtown, 1 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, Pa 17022. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
