Norma J. Bzdyk

Norma J. (Gillen) Bzdyk 82 of Shoemakersville died in the Laurel Center, Tilden Township September 14, 2017. She was the widow of Edmund M. Bzdyk who died April 26, 2014. Norma was born in Brooklyn, NY and was the daughter of the late Harold and Dorothea (Schomburg) Gillen. She was a graduate of Hempstead High School, Hempstead, Long Island, NY. She obtained her B.S. in Nursing from Norwegian Hospital, Brooklyn, NY. She worked for many years as a nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital, West Islip, NY and last worked at Baldwin County Hospital, Milledgeville, Ga.   Norma was a member of Bellemans Church, Mohrsville. She is survived by four sons; Kurt R. Bzdyk (Alena), Babylon, NY, Philip E. (Kerry) Bzdyk, Bluemont, VA. Raymond H. Bzdyk, Perry Township and Karl A. Bzdyk (Lenore), Bay Shore, NY, eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and a sister, Mildred Avellino in Florida. Memorial contributions may be made to Belleman's Church Endowment Fund, 3420 Belleman's Church Road, Mohrsville, PA 19541. Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
