Nina Leah Beverly

Nina L. Beverly (formerly Lopez) passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

Born in Reading on September 6, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Beatrice Mae Beverly and James Austin Hann. She was adopted by stepfather Clarence "PeeWee" Beverly at the age of nine.

Nina graduated from Reading High School and attended McCann Business School. She worked for Met Ed (now First Energy) in various clerical positions for 58 years until her retirement in 2022.

Nina loved to travel and had visited many islands and countries with her mother and her sister, Marguerite (Joyce) Hann-Hyde. She also ventured off on her own at times. She was a music buff and loved jazz, volunteering at the Berks Jazz Fest for three decades.

Left to cherish her memory are sister, Joyce; many nieces and nephews; and life-long friends from Reading High and the Washington Presbyterian Church.

Services will be private. Nina will be laid to rest at Charles Evans Cemetery in Reading.
