Newlin C. Pompiano

Newlin Claude Pompiano, 61, of 120 Heidel Road, North Heidelberg Township, died December 17th at 1:45 a.m. in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center where he had been since December 8th.

He was married June 23, 1962 to Patricia Ann (Stern) Pompiano.

Born in Kansas City, MO, he was a son of the late Leon Scott and his adoptive father Peter Pompiano.

He is also survived by his mother, Erma Lea (Armstrong) Scott Pompiano of Spring Township.

Pompiano was employed in the paper mill as a laborer at Interstate Container for 15 years. He was later employed by Alelphi Kitchens of Robesonia as a laborer since July 1991, last working in November.

He was a member of Advent Lutheran Church, West Lawn.

Pompiano is also survived by a son, Newlin J. of Bern Township and two daughters, Kathy Sue (Pompiano) Tag of Womelsdorf and Tina Marie (Pompiano) Swartzel of Marina, California.

There is also five grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday 11am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Viewing 10am until time of service. Rev. William B. Fryer Jr., officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Dryville, Rockland Township.
