Nevin R. Levan

Nevin R. Levan, 71, of Hamburg, passed away on Tuesday in St. Joseph Hospital, Reading. Born in Greenwich Township on July 11, 1941, he was the son of the late Robert J. and Marie M. (Schlegel) Levan. He was a member of St. Paul's Smoke Church, Edenburg. Nevin worked as a truck driver for Peter Bros. Meats, Lenhartsville, PA for over 24 years, retiring in 1997. In addition to his parents, Nevin was preceded in death by brother, Kenneth Levan. Nevin is survived by his wife, Sharon L. (Correll); two daughters: Denise E. Clouser, of Hamburg and Diann L. Levan, of Mohrsville; three sons: Dean A., Dennis L. and Daren N. Levan, all of Hamburg; ten grandchildren; one great grandson; two sisters: Sandra A. Kline and Dana M. Oakes, both of Reading; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 22nd at 1:00 PM. at Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 38-40 S. Fourth St., Hamburg. Interment in Berks County Memorial Gardens will be private at the convenience of the family.
