Nelson Frank Walter

Nelson Frank Walter, 94, passed away October 6, 2021, in his Exeter Township residence.

He was the husband of Mary L. (Perry) Walter. His first wife, Ellen M. Walter, died on May 2, 2013.

Born in Norristown, he was a son of the late John and Mildred (Pike) Walter.

Nelson was a member of Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, Oley.

He was employed by Bethlehem Steel Grace Mine as a shift foreman then later as a rate setter until Grace Mine closed, before retiring in 2006 from Kris Larsen LTD.

Nelson's friendly personality, caring nature and love of his family will be greatly missed.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Timothy Walter and Nelson, Jr., husband of Cynthia Walter; four stepchildren: Amanda, wife of Paul Doud, Beth Ann Roesler, Cheryl, wife of Ray Rubeo and Nany, wife of Robert Miller; and six siblings: Clara Walter, Eunice Wagner, John Walter, Kenneth Walter, Lois Boyer and David Walter. Six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren, also survive him.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Barbara Walter-Larsen, wife of Kris Larsen and his brother, Roger Walter.

Services will be held Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at 12 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading with burial to follow at Laureldale Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
