Neil A. Bensing

Neil Alvin Bensing, 71, of Wyomissing, died of natural causes February 7th in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

He was the husband of Mary Ann (DeSantis) Bensing.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Alvin and Emily (Hill) Bensing.

Bensing was a graduate of Boyertown High School.

He was employed 38 years by Rixie Paper Company, Pottstown before leaving the company in 1996 as a plant manager.

Bensing was later employed a number of years by Weis Markets, Wyomissing as a stocker, last working January 21st.

He was an Air Force Veteran.

Bensing is also survived by a daughter, Betty (Bensing) Swavely of Pottstown, a step-son, Todd M. Oldham of Kapaa, HI and a step-daughter, Heather K. (Oldham) Loness of Exeter Township.

Other survivors include a brother, Daryll Bensing of Henderson, Nev.

There are also two grandchildren, one great granddaughter and three step grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be Friday at 1:30 pm in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township. Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Ave., Reading, Pa 19605.
