Natalie Almena Kistler

Natalie A. Kistler, of Exeter, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, in the care of Reading Hospital.

She was a daughter of the late Nathaniel and Sarah Filbert. Natalie graduated from Albright College with a degree in Chemistry. She had a long career as a spectrophotometrist for the Phillips Petroleum Company and its various incarnations. Natalie also worked for many years as a waitress at the Yellow House Hotel near Douglassville. She finally retired in August of 2004 in order to allow herself more time to enjoy a good book.

Natalie was a passionate reader who had a very large private collection of novels. She enjoyed spending her afternoons at Barnes and Noble. She daily attempted the New York Times crossword puzzle in pen. She also enjoyed music, especially the Rolling Stones.

Natalie's memory will be treasured by her daughter, Jill Brok, widow of Jeffrey Brok, of Ormond Beach, FL, and her grandchildren, Connor Brok and Erica Brok. Natalie was predeceased by her daughter, Holly Jo Oxenford, and her sister, Carole Ellis.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Natalie's memory to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, www.bcrf.org, or to a charity of choice.
