Nancy Mae Ostrom, 79, of Lincoln Park, died April 17, 2012 in St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center, PA.

Born in Voorhees, NJ, she was the eldest daughter of the late Charles A. and Virginia (Niles) Ostrom formerly of Mishawaka, IN.

She was a 1951 graduate of Wyomissing High School and attended Purdue University.

Nancy worked as a teller for Reading Trust Company for over 25 years.

She was a member of Holy Rosary R.C. Church, Reading. She was a devout Christian and traveled to religious destinations including Jerusalem.

Nancy enjoyed knitting and spending time with her cat, Tiny Tim. She was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and loved going to see the Reading Phillies and collecting all of their memorabilia. She was an advocate of AA; volunteered for Threshold Rehabilitation Services and attended educational seminars on the subject of addiction.

She is survived by her three sons: Scott C. Sensenig, Muhlenberg Township; Michael C., husband of Cindy Sensenig, Sinking Spring and Jay N., husband of Richann Sensenig, Virginia Beach. Also surviving are her two sisters: Joan, wife of Barry Meyers, Tuscon, AZ; Sally Shafer, Grandy, NC; three nieces: Allison, Nancy and Leslie and a nephew, Tom. Five grandchildren: Bryn, Kyle, Carly, Jordan and Tyler also survive her.

Nancy was predeceased by a niece, Loretta and a nephew, Larry.

A Prayer Service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Berks Animal Rescue League P.O. Box 69, Mohnton, PA 19540. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
