Nancy L. Szablowski

Nancy L. Szablowski, 76, of Muhlenberg Township, died March 4, 2010 in St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township.

Her husband John A. Szablowski died in August of 1979. She was the partner of Val Cinciarelli, with whom she resided.

Born March 15, 1933 in Lebanon, she was a daughter of the late Jefferson Daniel and Emma May (Wenger) Tiley.

Nancy was a graduate of Reading High School.

She was employed as a Nurse's Aid in the Emergency Room at St. Joseph Medical Center for 16 years, retiring in 1995.

Nancy was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels.

She served as secretary for Muhlenberg Senior Center and as treasurer with Parents Without Partners.

Surviving are three children: John T., husband of Lisa A. of Thorndale, PA; Holly M. Hayman of Phoenix, AZ and Kathy N. Szablowski of Scottsdale, AZ and a step-daughter, Louise, wife of Andy Horwat.

Other survivors include six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Nancy was predeceased by a son, Gary J. Szablowski and two brothers.

Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township.
