Nancy Jean Kauffman

Nancy Jean Kauffman, 73, passed away on November 30, 2024, at her Fleetwood home. She was the wife of Allan R. Kauffman. They shared over 40 years together.

Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Viola (Gilberg) Mest. Nancy graduated Boyertown High School in 1969 and attended Kutztown University. She spent much of her career in advertising, working her way up from graphic designer, to art director, to creative director and account executive, to the owner of her own agency, NJM Advertising.

She was a talented writer as well as artist. In 2011 she developed a creative writing workshop for youth in crisis that she taught at the Children's Home of Reading. In 2016, she published "A Rose Too Red," an autobiographical book of poetry.

Relentlessly creative, Nancy continued to pursue her passions for painting, photography, poetry, drawing, painting, and writing most of her life. She was also an ardent animal lover, especially devoted to caring for her cats.

Nancy is survived by her husband Allan.

She was predeceased by her sister, Carol Strunk.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home, West Reading. The visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
