Nancy Jane Frey

Nancy Jane (Knowles) Frey, 63, of Orwigsburg, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 10, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, following a lengthy illness. Born March 17, 1954 in Reading, she was the daughter of Austin L. and the late Rosemary (Defuria) Knowles.

A graduate of Sun Valley High School, Aston, PA, Nancy earned her college degree from Goldey-Beacom College, Wilmington, DE. She went on to work as a Medical Assistant in a number of physician's offices in New York City and later at home in the Orwigsburg area.

A wonderful free spirit, Nancy loved her years in New York, and told such amazing stories about the people she met and the experiences she had there. She was always dressed to the nines, and seemed to know fashion trends before they became widely popular. A true music lover, Nancy enjoyed concerts by her favorite stars, and relished meeting them in public through her work in doctor's offices, and her travels around the City. But time with her family was most important to Nancy, and she cherished annual summer beach trips to Long Beach Island.

In addition to her father, Nancy is survived by her longtime companion Linford Mutter, of Orwigsburg, her daughter Ainsley Frey, of Auburn, PA, and her granddaughter Tallulah Voydik, who she adored more than anything in this world, and who will miss her greatly.

Nancy's life will be truly celebrated at a Memorial Service to be held Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Kuhn Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 5153 Kutztown Road, Temple, with a visitation one hour prior to the service, from 11am-Noon in the Funeral Home.
