Nancy E. Frees

Nancy E. Frees, 87, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023, at the Reading Hospital. She was the wife of the late Edward N. Frees until his passing in 2003.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late George H. Spuhler and Anna R. (Rogers) Betz, wife of Richard Betz. Nancy graduated from Reading High School in 1954. She was employed as a clerk.

Nancy was a member of St. Thomas UCC, Reading where she was a longtime choir member.

Survivors include her sister, Barbara Hess of Shoemakersville and her brother-in-law, Thomas Esterly of Brigantine, NJ.

Nancy was predeceased by her sister, Shirley L. Esterly.

Services were held privately at Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading.
