Nancy Drehs Easterday

Nancy Drehs Easterday, 88, of Wernersville, passed away January 15, 2017, at Phoebe Berks.

Born in West Reading, she was a daughter of the late William F. and Ludema M. Drehs.

She was a graduate of West Reading High School in 1946 and Wittenberg University, Springfield, Ohio, in 1950, where she earned a B.S. in education.

Nancy was employed as a librarian for Worthington Public Library, Worthington, Ohio, for 24 years, retiring in January, 1994.

She was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing.

Nancy will be remembered for many things, especially her love for church, music, opera, playing the piano, libraries, books and flowers.

Nancy's friendly personality, caring nature, and love of her family will be greatly missed.

She is survived by two children, Ronald L., husband of Dorothy (Sperling) Easterday, Poulsbo, Wa.; and Karen Marie, wife of Kevin Parsons, Gibsonia, Pa.; and one sister, Mary Drehs, Wyomissing, Pa. Three grandchildren, Daniel Parsons, Anchorage, AK, Timothy Parsons, Cuyahoga Falls, OH and Kelly Parsons, Ashland, MO., also survive her.

A Celebration of Nancy's Life will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at 1 p.m. in Phoebe Berks Chapel, 1 Reading Dr., Wernersville, PA 19565, with burial to follow at Pleasant View Cemetery. A calling for family and friends will be held from 12:30 to 1 p.m. prior to the services at Phoebe Berks.
