Nancy C. Clark

Nancy C. Clark, 70, of Lower Alsace Township, passed away June 23, 2012 in ManorCare Laureldale.

She was the loving wife of Roger A. Clark, Sr.

Born in Ashland, she was a daughter of the late John F. and Kathryn M. (Kerrigan) Evancovich.

She was a graduate of Muhlenberg High School where she was the editor of the newspaper and a cheerleader.

Nancy worked for Gilbert Associates as an executive in the flight department for 18 years, retiring in 1993. Previously she had worked for Reading Aviation and Public Aviation. In the 1960's she was featured in a Reading Eagle article "Beauty at Work", focusing on intelligent, beautiful women excelling in the workplace.

Nancy was an amazing seamstress and knitter. She had her own design company, Styles by Nancy, and could create anything with just a picture. She was also a wonderful cook and loved hosting family meals. She was an avid reader and loved dancing and playing golf.

She was a member of St. Catharine of Siena R.C. Church, Mt. Penn and attended St. Joseph R.C. Church, Reading.

Nancy was nurturing, kind and loved her family. She took care of her great-nieces and great- nephews as if they were her own grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her devoted and loving son, Roger A. Clark, Jr., companion of Carla Pileri, Reading. Also surviving are her sisters: Kathy, wife of John Kantner, Reading and Judy A. Neff, companion of Doug Hefter, Reading; her sister-in-law, Barbara Clark Melcher, widow of David Melcher; her nieces: Stacy, Heather, Cristy, Tamara and Kimberly; her nephew, Ryan and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She will be missed by her beloved dog, Buddy the terrier.

Nancy was predeceased by her nephew, Garth Melcher.

Services will be private. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Catharine of Siena R.C.
