Myrtle V. Shinn

Myrtle V. (Galloway) Shinn, 97, passed away September 19, 2017 in ManorCare, Sinking Spring.

She was the beloved wife of Stanley W. Shinn, who died October 28, 1999.

Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Margaret (Mauger) Galloway.

Myrtle was a 1936 graduate of Pottstown High School.

She was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing.

Myrtle was employed by Boscov's Department store as a cosmetic and jewelry clerk for over 17 years until retiring in 1980.

Myrtle is survived by her three daughters, Judith Kirlin, Pottstown; Susan Shelley, Kennett Square; and Sharon Smith, Lincoln Park. She is also survived by four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren

She was predeceased by her six brothers and sisters.

Graveside Service will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in honor of Myrtle can be made to Atonement Lutheran Church, 5 Wyomissing Blvd, Wyomissing, PA 19610. Edward J.
