Myrle H. Werley, 95, formerly of Shoemakersville, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, in the care of Keystone Villa Douglassville. She was the widow of Leon M. Werley, who passed away in 2007. Born in Perry Township to the late Calvin J. and Minnie M. (Miller) Hepner, Myrle graduated from Perry High School.
A longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church of Windsor Castle, Myrle's faith was deeply important to her. She treasured her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Myrle retired in 1981 from the Berks County Intermediate Unit where she had worked as a secretary.
Left to treasure Myrle's memory are her children, Keith A. Werley (Manuela) of Douglassville and Karen A. Sullivan (John) of Chester Springs; grandchildren Kelly Grant, Brandon Sullivan, and Danielle Lehnert; and great grandchildren Joel Grant, Elijah Grant, Denali Sullivan. In addition to her husband, Leon, and her parents, Calvin and Minnie, Myrle was predeceased by her brothers, Clyde and Carl, and her sisters Marion Miller and Marie Knittle.
Services for Myrle were held privately. She was laid to rest at Zion's Cemetery of Perry Township. Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Myrle's memory may be offered to Zion's Lutheran Church, 354 Zions Church Rd, Shoemakersville, PA 19555. Condolences may be expressed at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
