Muriel A. Gehret

Muriel A. Gehret, 87, of Charleston Lane, Spring Township, formerly of Ocala, Fla., died Jan. 10 at 3:30 p.m. in her residence.

Her husband, Kenneth B. Gehret, died in June 1980.

Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Irene (Weidner) Ricards.

Gehret was the owner of the Hillside Home for Aged, Wernersville, for 30 years, retiring in 1976.

She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn I. (Russ) Porter, with whom she last resided; and three sons: Joseph L. Russ, Silver Springs, Fla.; Robert M. Russ, Ocala; and Kenneth C. Gehret, West Lawn.

Other survivors include a brother, Elwood Ricards, Wernersville.

There are also 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township.
