Morris Williams

Morris L. Williams Sr., 66, formerly of Reading, and of Montgomery, AL, passed away November 19, 2015.

He is survived by his wife, Mary (Dorsey) Williams.

Born in Opelika, AL , he was the son of the late James and Nellie (Seroyer) Williams.

Morris was a 1966 graduate of Reading High School and a graduate of Lincoln University, Chester County.

He was employed as a counselor in education.

Morris was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church and of Berks Lodge #47.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children: Marquis, husband of Monique, Sinking Spring; Morris, Jr., Claymont, DE; Morrell, Shillington; Monique, wife of Anthony Burrell, Sinking Spring; and Marshall, West Reading; three sisters, Gale Bailey, Jenelle Williams, and Janice Macon; a brother, Maurice Williams; six grandchildren, Dejah, Aris, Morgan, Alexis, Meryl and Lenah. Also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Services will be Monday, November 30 at 11 a.m. in Bethel A.M.E. Church, 330 W Windsor St, Reading, PA 19601. A viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m. in the church.
