Molly Eliot Snyder
November 21, 2003 – January 5, 2025
Molly Eliot Snyder, a young woman of extraordinary beauty, strength, compassion, and courage, passed away unexpectedly on January 5, 2025, at the age of 21.
Born on November 21, 2003, Molly was the beloved daughter of Erik Snyder of Reading and Nancy Regennas (formerly Snyder) of West Lawn. She was a devoted younger sister to Owen Snyder and a treasured member of her extended family.
A proud graduate of Wilson High School, class of 2021, Molly pursued her education at Bloomsburg University. From an early age, she discovered her love for words, becoming an avid reader and writer by the age of three. Sylvia Plath's work deeply inspired her, and Molly was in the final stages of completing her debut collection of free verse poetry—a reflection of her talent and dedication to creative expression.
Molly was known for her caring heart and genuine empathy. As an in-home caregiver with Comfort Keepers, she found immense joy in supporting her clients with respect and kindness, preserving their dignity. Her compassion extended to animals as well; she adored her many pets over the years, including her emotional support cat, August (Auggie).
She delighted in life's simple joys, from time spent at the beach to memorable moments with loved ones. A recent trip to Cancun with her mother and brother was especially meaningful to her. Molly was also a devoted Taylor Swift fan, embracing the artist's messages of inclusivity, individuality, and self-expression—values she exemplified in her own life. Her unwavering loyalty, warm spirit, and boundless love left an unforgettable mark on all who knew her.
Molly is survived by her parents, Erik Snyder and Nancy Regennas; her brother, Owen Snyder; her maternal grandmother, Juanita Regennas; her paternal grandfather, John (Jake) Regennas; her great-grandmother, Aglina Zamora; her aunt and uncle, Kimberly Regennas Taylor, and Michael Narehood, along with their three sons, Harrison, Jensen and Campbell. She is also survived by her great-aunts, great-uncles, and many cousins who will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Mary Ann Roseboro; her paternal great-grandfather, E. Louis Roseboro; and her maternal great-grandparents, Elizabeth "Betty" Regennas, Charles Regennas, and Samuel JarquÍn.
A celebration of Molly's life will take place on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at Park Road Presbyterian Church, 1045 North Park Road in Wyomissing. The family requests casual attire—attendees are encouraged to wear whatever feels most comfortable.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wilson Education Foundation, where a scholarship in Molly's honor will support aspiring writers, or to NAMI of Berks County (National Alliance on Mental Illness) - https://www.nami.org/affiliate/pennsylvania/nami-berks-county-pa/
