Mollie I. Ross, 101, formerly of Temple, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021, in the Lutheran Home in Topton.

She was the wife of the beloved Vernon J. Ross, who died February 2, 2000.

Born in Heidelberg Township, Lebanon County, she was the daughter of the late James W. and Mayme I. (Ream) Hewitt.

Mollie graduated from Reading High School at the age of 16 and went on the road dancing with Bonnie Brownell's Continental Revue. She danced up and down the east coast from Rocky Mountain, N.C., to Brantford, Ontario. During World War II, Mollie worked at Wilson Products as a scuffer for the oxygen masks.

She wrote notes of encouragement to the GI's and included them with the masks.

She was a member of Holy Cross Methodist Church, Reading.

Mollie is survived by a daughter; Sharon C., wife of Bruce A. Yelles, Hamburg.

The family would like to thank the entire staff of "A" wing in the Henry Health Care Center at the Lutheran Home at Topton for their loving and extraordinary care.

Graveside services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mollie's honor to either the American Heart Association, 300 5th Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451, or the American Lung Association, National Direct Response Headquarters, PO Box 756, Osceola WI 54020-0756.
