Miriam Frances Watt, 83 of Centre Township died on January 26, 2008 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where she had been admitted earlier that day.
She was the husband of Ralph Herman Watt whom she married on June 20, 1942.
Born on October 16, 1924 she was a daughter of the late James and Katie (Turner) Field.
Miriam is a member of Grace Alsace United Church of Christ, Muhlenberg Township.
Also survivng are two sons: Gary L., husband of Pamela Watt of Cuba, Missouri and Richard A., husband of Lynda L. (Harris) Watt of Santa Paula, CA and a daughter, Gail L. (Watt), wife of Richard F. Plank of Ruscombanor Township.
There is one sister, Bernice Pennington of Ruscombmanor Township.
In addition there are eight grandchildren: Gayle, John, Julie, Jeremy, Dawn, Janine, Geoffrey and Ashley and three great granddaughters: Mychaela, Jaelynn and Megan.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews
Miriam was a member of the Shoemakersville Seniors Group, the Shoey Line Dancers, where she taught line dancing with her husband for twenty years.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling.
Services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. in the Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery.
