Miriam Louise Enck Spence

Miriam L. E. Spence, 93, formerly of West Reading, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, in the care of Dock Woods at Lansdale. She was the widow of Richard H. Spence, who passed away in 2011.

Born in West Reading to the late Frederick and Edna (Yocum) Enck, Mim graduated from West Reading High School Class of 1947.

She was a long-time member of Robeson Lutheran Church.

Mim worked at Narrow Fabric for fifteen years.

In her later years, she enjoyed putting together puzzles and playing cards with her dear friends. A sociable woman, Mim had no trouble forming lasting friendships everywhere she went. She also enjoyed watching tennis matches on TV, and she had fond memories of regular trips with her husband to Myrtle Beach.

Left to treasure Mim's memory are her daughters, Michelle L. Gehman, wife of Dennis E. Gehman, of Mohnton, and Jeanice L. Naulty, wife of Robert Naulty, of Birdsboro; grandchildren Katie Moyer, Jamie Imbesi, and Kevin Gehman; and great grandchildren Margaret Gehman, Kendall Gehman, and Michael Imbesi. She is also survived by her stepdaughter, Susan M. Erickson, wife of Michael Erickson, of Wyomissing. In addition to her husband and parents, Mim was predeceased by her sister, Carolyn Kilyk.
