Miriam E. Ryan

Miriam E. Ryan, 89, died May 3, 2010 in her Hummingbird Hill residence.

She was the wife of John L. "Jack" Ryan.

Born in Laureldale, she was a daughter of the late C. Leroy and Miriam (Ganter) Ebersole.

Miriam was a 1938 graduate of West Reading High School. She also attended the McCain School of Business and Penn State University.

She worked as a real estate agent for over 10 years, at various companies, retiring in 1982.

Miriam was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola R.C. Church, Whitfield.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Miriam C., wife of Rick Wood, Kona, Hawaii and her sister Elizabeth "Betty", widow of Joseph Tilden, Reading. Also surviving are her two grandchildren: Michael Noll, Miami, FL and Michelle Noll, San Diego, CA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola R.C. Church, 2810 Saint Albans Drive Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. in the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Ignatius Loyola R.C. Church at the address above. Edward J.
