Miriam M. Moyer

Miriam M. Moyer, 95, formerly of Reading, passed away March 15, 2009 in Berks Heim.

Her husband James H. Moyer died February 9, 2007.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late James Porter and Nora (Edris) Porter.

She was a member of Grace Alsace United Church of Christ.

She is survived by her son, James T., husband of Phoebe Moyer, Reading, her daughter, Susan J. Scott, Gilbertsville, four grandchildren; Stacie Eisenhofer, Tyler Moyer, Bradley Schlegel, Jason Schlegel; five great-grandchildren and one Step great-granddaughter also survive her.

Miriam was predeceased by her brother, Warren Porter and three sisters, Mable Benner, Emma Harbold and Sarah Woomer.

Services will be Friday at 11:00 in Grace Alsace United Church of Christ, 2151 Kutztown Rd., Hyde Park, PA. Burial will be in Alsace Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the services in the church. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
