Miriam M. Keller, 86, formerly of Columbia Cottage, died March 7, 2012, in Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
She was the wife of Richard C. Keller who passed away in 2009.
Miriam was born on December 2, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Louise (Ortmiller) and Victor T. Kramer.
She is survived by two brothers, Bruce V. Kramer and Ted C., husband of Jane Kramer. Miriam was predeceased by her brother, James D. Kramer, who passed away in 2000.
Miriam graduated from Sinking Spring High School in 1943 and graduated from Albright College in 1948. She remains a member of the Phi Delta Sigma Honorary Alumnae Sorority. Miriam taught math in the Exeter School District for 28 years, retiring in 1976.
She was very active in St. John's Lutheran Church in Sinking Spring. One of her favorite activities was helping with the Food Pantry Program. She was also involved in the annual Easter Egg Project.
Miriam liked baseball and followed the Reading and Philadelphia teams. She enjoyed basketball and often watched the college games on television. While at Columbia Cottage she began to enjoy watching golf.
Miriam is survived by nephews David Kramer, Tim, husband of Becky Kramer, Roger, husband of Angie Kramer and Robb Kramer.
She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Virginia (Keller)Lesko and brother-in-law Russell Keller, nieces Melanie Borden, Patricia Peters, Susan Heck and Linda Weikman.
Miriam was a devoted wife, sister and aunt. She had many friends and will be missed.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. John's Lutheran Church, 4125 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Burial will be private in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church at the above address.
