Miriam M. Hillbish

Miriam M. Hillbish, 91, of Reading passed away on May, 9 2016, in St. Joseph's Hospital.

She was the beloved wife of Burd S. Hillbish Jr., who died February 24. 2003.

Born in Reading she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Cummings) Boas.

Miriam was a graduate of Reading Catholic High School.

She was employed by Marten's Realty, Reading, as a secretary for 30 years and for the Reading Parking Authority as a receptionist for 25 years until her retirement.

Miriam was a member of St. Joseph's R. C. Church, Reading.

Her family and faith were most important to her. Miriam loved people and was loved by many.

Miriam is survived by her children Mary Ann, husband of Elton Sherman; Joan M., husband of Anthony Sellari, and Donald J., husband of Patricia Hillbish. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lynn, Amy, Kelly, Tina, Donald V., Daniel, Todd and Stefanie: her sister, Dorothy B. Buser; 14 great-grandchildren and her beloved dog, Anya.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Grace Gallagher, Margaret Lawlor, John Boas, and George Boas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 12, 2016, at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph R.C. Church, 1018 N 8th St, Reading, PA 19604. A viewing will held from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
