Miriam K. Dzurkovich, 81, of Reading, passed away September 25, 2014 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
Her husband, Andrew J. Dzurkovich, died October 12, 1992.
Born January 17, 1933 in Reading she was a daughter of the late James S. and Ellen (McCartan) Weiser.
Miriam was a candy packer for R.M. Palmer Candy Co., West Reading, for over 42 years, retiring in September, 1999.
She was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church, Reading.
Miriam was a selfless woman, a true saint on earth. Her life was dedicated to her family and the Lord. This irreplaceable, one of a kind, tremendous woman was a gift to this world and will be missed more than words can describe.
She is survived by her niece, Kathy M., wife of K. Scott Long, Muhlenberg Township. Also surviving are her great nieces and nephews: Justin Long; Erica, wife of Daniel Buzydlowski; Tyler, husband of Tiffany Long; Scott, husband of Carisa Long; and Nicholas, husband of Aimee Long; and her four great-great nieces and nephews: Aliyah, Mallory, Daniel, and Trey. They will all miss their "grandma" dearly.
Miriam was predeceased by her brother, Edward Weiser, and her sister, Margaret Weiser.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph R.C. Church, 1018 N 8th St, Reading, PA 19604. A viewing will be held Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Joseph R.C. Church at the above address.
