Minnie V. Schlegel

Minnie Vinona (Moyer) Schlegel, 80, of Richmond Township, died February 1, 2009 at 2:10 pm in Reading Hospital, where she had been a patient since January 21st.

She was the wife of Kermit Charles Schlegel, whom she married March 31, 1945.

Born in Maidencreek Township on February 21, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Sylvester S. and Minnie Alice (Christ) Moyer.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fleetwood.

Minnie was a member of the Fleetwood Grange #1839 for 62 years.

She is also survived by three children: Kenneth L., husband of Sharon A. (Rigg) Schlegel of Richmond Township; Diane L., (Schlegel) wife of Glenn D. Epting of Greenwich Township and Dolores A. (Schlegel) wife of Curtis G. Kramer of Reinholds.

Other survivors include two siblings: Edna L., widow of Gerald Hess of Allentown and Lee S., husband of Betty (Kramer) Moyer of Meyerstown.

There are also 5 grandchildren: Heather E. Mengel, Keith A. Schlegel, Kyle A. Schlegel, Chad C. Kramer and Tyler C. Kramer and 9 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by five siblings: Edgar L. Moyer, Stanley S. Moyer, Helen Davis, Howard R. Moyer and Pauline V. Lorah.

Services will be Thursday at 10:30 am in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 117 East Arch Street, Fleetwood, PA 19522, with the Rev. Robert D. Machamer Jr. officiating. A viewing will be held 9:00 am until time of services in the Church. Burial will be in St. Peter's Church Cemetery, Molltown.
