Mildred Blanche (Derr) Barskey Ziegler, 85, formerly of Laureldale, died September 3, 2010 in ManorCare, Muhlenberg Township.
She was the wife of Albert Eugene Barskey, Jr., who died April 5, 1956 and Bentley Lowell Ziegler, who died March 20, 1975.
Born October 2, 1924 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Claude E. and Alice (Ross) Derr.
Mildred was employed as a boarder with Berkshire Knitting Mills and later as a packer with Bachman's Bakery.
She was a member of Rosedale United Church of Christ, Laureldale.
Mildred was an avid bingo player and enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are three children: Albert E., III, husband of Kathleen M. (Przydzial) Barskey of Temple; Gary A., husband of Martha (Smith) Barskey of Burlington, NC and Becky A. (Ziegler), wife of Eric J. Lawrence of Spring Township.
Other survivors include four siblings: Roy Derr of Spring Township, Howard Derr of Kenhorst, Gordon Derr of Muhlenberg Township and Alma Adam of Bern Township.
There are also seven grandchildren surviving.
Mildred was predeceased by seven siblings: Claude Derr, Jr, Alexander Derr, Dorothy Mohn Yoder, Alice Reinoehl, Caroline Pyle and Gladys Henry.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading.
