Mildred M. Riegel

Mildred Mary (Davis) Riegel, 96, died November 23rd at 3:15 pm in her residence at 2949 Kutztown Road, (Muhlenberg Township), Reading, Pa 19605.

She was the widow of William Jacob Riegel, who died March 27, 1985.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Steven and Ellen (Miller) Davis.

She was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church, Hyde Park.

Riegel worked for a number of years as a cough drop machine operator at Luden's Candy, Reading until her retirement.

She is survived by a daughter, Arlene J. (Riegel) wife of John L. Ditizio of Muhlenberg Township.

Riegel is also survived by a brother, Norman Davis of Reading.

Other survivors include seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

She was predeceased by a son, William J. "Red" Riegel who died in a car crash at the Fairgrounds in June 1966.

Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 pm in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Rev. Mark E. Brophy officiating. Viewing Wednesday 12:30 pm until time of service. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Tuckerton.
