Mildred M. Rahn

Mildred M. (Kauffman) Rahn, 85, of Muhlenberg Township, died February 10, 2011 in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township.

She was married to the love of her life, Clifford A. Rahn, Sr., for sixty years.

Born September 6, 1925 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Isaac H. and Mary A. (Schweitzer) Kauffman.

Mildred was a 1944 graduate of Reading Catholic High School.

She was a member of St. Margaret's R.C. Church, Reading.

Mildred enjoyed traveling, going on cruises, family vacations and parties.

She loved crocheting baby blankets, bowling and most of all roller skating, which is where she met her husband, Cliff.

Surviving are four children: Clifford A., Jr., husband of Kim V. (McCarty) Rahn of Muhlenberg Township; Judith A. (Rahn), wife of James J. Kondisko of Muhlenberg Township; Mary A. (Rahn), wife of H. Kenneth Anspach of Palmyra, Lebanon County and Helen M. (Rahn) Miller of Reading.

In addition, there are fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Mildred was predeceased by five siblings: Bernard Kauffman, Jack Kauffman, Francis Kauffman, Barbara (Kauffman) Ferro and Betty (Kauffman) Weihrer.

Our family has been so blessed to have had such a wonderful and caring wife, mother and grandmother. We all have many happy memories to treasure. She will be dearly missed by everyone whose heart she touched.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Chapel of Ressurection at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Road, Muhlenberg Township. Viewings will be held Monday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum.
