Mildred I. Mast

Mildred I. Mast, 85, of Oley, passed away on Sunday, February 05, 2012 in her residence.

Her husband, Daniel E. Mast passed away on April 21, 2005.

Born in Bowmansville, she was a daughter of the late Alvin B. Horning, Sr. and Sarah (Martin) Horning.

She was a member of Oley Mennonite Church where she was a member for many years of the sewing circle. She was a longtime exhibitor of quilts at the Oley Valley Community Fair where she received numerous awards. She was also a member of the Pieceable Friends of Berks County and the MCC Relief Sale.

She is survived by her daughter: Peggy A. Mast, fiancée of Timothy McGuire of Lititz and her Sons: Russell L. and wife Donna of Souderton; Samuel L. and wife Joyce of Fleetwood and Glenn J. and wife Linda of Stevens. Also surviving are her siblings: Eleanor Kauffman; Melvin Horning; Elton Horning, Florence Stoltzfus; Helen Lehman; Doris stoltzfus, Alvin Horning, Jr.; Janet Hartzler; Eileen Byler and Phillip Horning. She is also survived by 10 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandaughter. She was predeceased by her Brothers: Leonard and Kenneth Horning.

Services will be held in Oley Mennonite Church, 1571 Memorial Highway, Oley, on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 11:00 am. Friends and family may view on Wednesday from 6:00-7:30 pm in Blankenbiller Funeral Home, 423 Main Street, Oley and again on Thursday from 10:00-11:00 am in the church.
