Mildred M. Common

Mildred M. (Miller) Common, 95, of Wernersville, passed away August 16, 2015, at the Reading Hospital. She formerly resided in Spring Crest Court in Springmont.

She was the widow of Theodore B. Common.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Samuel J. and Mildred (Cope) Miller.

She was a 1938 graduate of Myers High School, Wilkes-Barre.

Mildred was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Wilkes-Barre.

She worked for 17 years as a secretary for the PA State Health Department.

Mildred was a member of The First Presbyterian Church of Reading.

She is survived by three children: Theodore M., husband of Kathy Common, Sydney, Australia, Pamela J. wife of Terry Peters, Robesonia and Janice G., wife of Fred Ranalli, Jr., West Lawn; five grandchildren: Brian, husband of Joann Peters, Joseph, husband of Melissa Ranalli, Anthony Ranalli, fiancé to Brianna Schwartz, Amy Common and Christopher Common and one great-grandson, Nathan Peters.

Mildred was predeceased by five siblings: Jon R. Miller, Robert Miller, William Miller, Anna Belle Miller and Marion Rinheimer, and step-mother, Ruth (Cope) Miller.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be private.
