Mildred B. Heller, 91, of Sinking Spring, died February 1, 2009 in St. Joseph's Hospital. Her husband, Roy B. Heller, died January 9, 1989. Born in Campbell, NE, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Anna (Banks) Holt. She was a graduate of Campbell High School in 1934 and attended Concordia Jr. College, St. Louis University and Kansas State College at Pittsburgh Satellite. She also took biofeedback training at Menninger Clinic, Topeka, KS campus. Mildred was employed in various capacities for Beloit Youth Center, Beloit, KS for 26 1/2 years, retiring in June 1982. She had a successful custom sewing and knitting business, Stitchery by Mildred, in West Reading for many years. She was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing, where she was a member of the hospice group. Mildred had been the church organist for Zion Lutheran Church, Beloit, KS for 11 years. Mrs. Heller was preceded in death by her daughter, Sygni D. Wiard, Phoenix, AZ; and her brother, Clifford Holt, West Covina, CA. She is survived by two daughters, Bernadine A. Collins, South Burlington, VT, and Constance R. Heller, Reading, as well as seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Private services and burial will be held in Norwegian Lutheran Cemetery, Campbell, NE in summer of 2009. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
