Mildred F. (Kase) Snyder, 90, formerly of Hyde Park and Sinking Spring, died February 22, 2011 in the Reading Hospital.

She was the wife of John J. Snyder, who died March 28, 1993.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on July 22, 1920, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Anna V. (Bachman) Kase.

She was a 1938 graduate of Ontelaunee Vocational School.

Mildred was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.

She was employed with Textile Machine Works and Berkshire Knitting Mills until her retirement.

Mildred was a former president of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 906, Leesport.

She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis A. (Snyder), wife of George J. Spillane of Spring Township.

Other survivors include two sisters: Genevieve (Kase), widow of Nathaniel Launder of Gilsum, N.H., and Anna Mae (Kase), widow of J. Walter Miller of Columbia, M.D.

There are also three grandchildren: Michael, husband of Mandy (Slegowski) Spillane; Andy Spillane and Katie Spillane and one great grandson, Elliott Spillane.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30 am in St. Ignatius R.C. Church, Whitfield. A viewing will be held Tuesday morning from 9:30 am until time of Mass in the Church. Burial will be private in St. John's (Gernant's) Cemetery, Ontelaunee Township.
