Mildred E. Hannum

Mildred E. Hannum, 92, of Wyomissing, formerly of Laureldale, died April 6, 2009 at 1:17 pm in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

Born in Sharon Hill, Delaware County, on November 19, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Edgar L. and Bertha M. (Yerger) Hannum.

She was a graduate of Muhlenberg High School, Helen Moore Hoffman School and the McCann's School of Business.

Mildred was employed with CNA Insurance, Reading, for over 40 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.

Mildred was a member of the Golden Rule Chapter #390, Order of the Eastern Star, Reading.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Faye L., widow of Edgar L. Hannum, Jr., Irvington, VA.

Services will be today at 1 p.m. in the Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., 3300 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale, with Rev. James Covert officiating. Friends may call 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
