Mildred F. Donton

Mildred F. Donton, 85, formerly of Reading, died February 27, 2010 in the Golden Living Center.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Charles Lyons, in 1966 and her second husband, Lee G. Donton, Sr., in 1997.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Paul W. and Elizabeth M. (Devera) Kunkelman.

She was a 1942 graduate of Reading High School.

Mildred was employed as an electric truck operator by the Reading Railroad Company for over 15 years, until her retirement.

She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Reading.

She is survived by her step-son, Lee G. Donton, Jr. She is also survived by her two sisters: Dorothy J. Faust, Douglassville and Nancy C. Geiss, Mohnton. There is one step grandson, Lee Donton, III, and two great-step-grandchildren: Thomas Donton and LeAnne Donton surviving, in addition to many nieces and nephews.

Mildred was predeceased by her step-son, Mark Donton in 1981 as well as her brother, Paul W. Kunkelman, Jr. and her sister, Elizabeth M. Theis.

Services will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Mohnsville Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
