Mildred C. Nagle

Mildred Caroline (Young) Nagle, wife of Charles F. "Bud" Nagle, 372 Rudy Dam Road, Lititz PA, went home to be with Jesus on Monday June 30. Born January 7, 1920, in Reading, PA, Mildred was the daughter of Clark and Maggie (Miller) Young, and was one of five children.

Mildred was the loving mother of Deborah C. Henne, wife of Nelson T. Henne, Fleetwood, PA and Robert C. Nagle husband of Wendy R. Nagle, Lititz, PA. She was "Nanny" to three granddaughters, Heather C. Soltysik, wife of Jeffrey L. Soltysik, Reading PA; Kimberly R. Wallace, wife of Elyus A.Wallace, Winchester Virginia; and Megan E. Fulmer, wife of Stephen A. Fulmer, Manheim PA. She was also Silas Fulmer's great-grandmother.

Mildred was the last surviving founding member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God, where she taught Sunday School. The church was originally established on Windsor Street, Reading, PA in 1923. Now known as GT Church in West Lawn, PA, this Assemblies of God congregation now welcomes more than 2,800 people to weekly worship services in their West Lawn and Kutztown campuses.

In addition to attending church, Mildred looked forward to vacation visits and camp meetings at the family's cabin at Cape May Holiness Association's campgrounds in Erma NJ. She enjoyed playing games, good music (especially when played by her nephew Sidney Watts), and spending time with her family at the beach.

Mildred was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease 20 years earlier, and throughout her illness was faithfully and lovingly cared for by her husband, Bud. Her family celebrates her life and rejoices in the confidence that she now has a glorified mind and body, perfectly suited for heaven.

Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in Glad Tidings Assembly of God, 1110 Snyder Road, West Lawn. Visitation will begin at 9am. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens.
