Milagros L. Colon

Milagros L. Colon, 68, passed away November 14, 2023, in her Cumru Township residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Flor Colon-Colon and Maria Santiago Alvarado.

She was the loving wife of Jorge Morales, with whom she celebrated 30 years of marriage.

Milagros was a seamstress for over 40 years.

She enjoyed crocheting, art and crafts, salsa dancing and cooking, but most importantly she loved spending time with her family at numerous family functions. She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by six children, Lizzette Torres, Reading; Jose Cumba, Shillington; Yahaira Tisdale, Shillington; Yarlin Rivera, Wyomissing; Kenneth Schmidt, Reading; and Emilly Schmidt, Reading. She is also survived by her six siblings, Flor Colon-Santiago, Nidia Santiago, Nelson Colon, Ramon Colon Alvardo, Ana Maria Bonilla, Carmen Colon; fourteen grandchildren, Jasmine Rodriguez, Janies Rodriguez, Ramon Rodriguez, Zulay Sierra, Julez Rodriguez, Ruth Rodriguez, Carmelo Ocasio, Shailin Colon, Jasiah Schmidt, Uriah Schmidt, Savior Schmidt, Francisco Torres Jr., Levi Schmidt-Rivera, Mia Schmidt-Rivera; and nine great-grandchildren, Reynaldo Santiago, Kevin Rodriguez, Ruben Santiago, Alejandro Santiago, Penelope Torres, Solynn Sierra, Sanayah Sierra, Sahara Ocasio and Giovanni Fick.

Milagros was predeceased by son, Angel Rafael Cumba, siblings, Doel Colon-Alvarado, Julita Colon Santiago, Hector Colon-Santiago, Rafael Hernandez-Colon and Elsa Perez.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, November 17, 2023, at 1 p.m. in the Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, 5153 Kutztown Rd., Temple, PA 19560 with burial to follow at Laureldale Cemetery.
