Michele Joy Ernst

Michele Joy (McCarthy) Ernst, Hamburg, 69, passed away on January 9, 2022 at St. Luke's Geisinger Hospital Orwigsburg.

She was the wife of John Ernst.

Born in Glen Falls, NY, she was a daughter of the late Michael McCarthy and Dorothea (Painter).

Michele attended St. Alfonso in Glen Falls, NY, St. Peter's and Southern Jr. High School, Reading.

She was employed at Yorgey's Dry Cleaners.

Michele had a passion for food, solving mysteries and enjoyed fishing.

She is survived by her daughter Erica Ernst, her grandson Austyn Ernst and two siblings; Michael McCarthy and Patrick McCarthy.

In addition to her parents Michele was preceded by her sisters; Judith White and Jane Gogluizza.

Services will private at the convenience of the family.
