Michaelene Raszkiewicz

Michaelene (Kalina) Raszkiewicz, 71, of Wyomissing, passed away March 17, 2016, at the Reading Hospital.

She was the wife of Michael J. Raszkiewicz. They were married 47 years.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Josephine Kalina.

She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in 1962 and attended Kutztown University.

Michaelene worked as an elementary school teacher for St. John's School, Shillington. She later worked as a sales associate for John Wanamaker, Reading.

She was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.

Michaelene loved to read; go to the shore; watch her children grow up and read to her grandchildren. She was extremely organized and precise.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children: Christopher, husband of Jen Raszkiewicz, Wyomissing; Marcy, wife of Scott Ament, Sinking Spring and Jill Raszkiewicz, Philadelphia and four grandchildren: Quinn Raszkiewicz, Alex Raszkiewicz, Marley Kai Ament and Kenzi Lynn Ament.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
