Michael C. Ritter

Michael Coyle Ritter, D.D.S., 69 passed away December 7, 2012 in his Wyomissing residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was the husband of Karen Link Ritter whom he married July 20, 1991.

Born March 20, 1943 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Dr. Joseph and Grace M. (Coyle) Ritter.

Michael was a graduate of Friends Central School, Philadelphia; Temple University and University of Pennsylvania.

He shared a practice with Dr. Jay Melvin in Wyomissing, specializing in endodontics, retiring in 2007.

Michael was employed as an adjunct professor at University of Pennsylvania and Albert Einstein Medical Center.

He was a private pilot and an avid golfer.

Michael was a former member of Heidelberg County Club, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and Experimental Aircraft Association.

Michael served as a Dental Volunteer for Israel.

In addition to his wife, surviving are his two children: Michelle P., wife of Jeffrey Woods of Spring Township and Drew G., husband of Tavia Ritter of Spring Township.

Other survivors include three grandchildren: Zachary Woods, Adam Woods and Hannah Ritter.

Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
