Michael R. Palko, 84, of West Lawn, passed away on May 29th at the Reading Hospital.
His wife, Elizabeth (Jones) Palko, passed away in 1985.
Born in Revesdale, Pa he was the son of the late John and Anna (Smalley) Palko.
Michael as an Industrial Engineer for Mack Truck, Allentown for 18 years until his retirement in 1985.
He was the President of Sinking Spring VFW Post 6150.
Michael was a Marine Corp Veteran of World War II.
He is survived by one son, Robert M. husband of Marcielayne Palko, Denver, Pa and one daughter, Robin D. wife of Mark Frohlich, Gulf Shores, Al and a longterm friend, Carol Lehn of Sinking Spring.
Michael is also survived by two brothers, John Palko, Pottsville and James Palko, San Bernardino, CA, and two sisters, Margaret Palko, Pottsville and Shirley (Palko) Hudock, Lancaster.
There are also two grandchildren, Zachary Palko and Ashley Englisch, and four step grandchildren, Rebecca Leid, Philip Leid, Nicole Frohlich, and Lisa Frohlich.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius of Loyola RCC, Whitfield. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
