Michael Jay Paley

Michael Jay Paley, 56, of Reading, passed away December, 28, 2025, at Hershey Medical Center.

He was the loving husband of Kimberly (Widenhofer) Paley.

Born in Fort Monmouth, NJ, he was the son of the late Connie (Hake) Paley and Frederick, husband of Donna Paley, Wrightsville, PA.

He was a graduate of Eastern York High School in 1987 and attended Penn State University.

Michael served our Nation proudly in the US Army stationed in Berlin Germany.

Michael placed great importance on his family, relishing the moments spent together. He found joy in watching science fiction films on his computer, reading, and also took pleasure in exploring various cuisines, both in tasting and preparing them. His family and friends will miss him dearly.

In addition to his wife, father, and step-mother, he is survived by two children, Donovan G. Paley and Cassandra L. Paley, both of Boalsburg, PA; and his sister, Mary Grace, wife of Matt Lucas, Ionia, NY.

At Michael’s request, services will be private. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to “KARMA” Keeshoad Affiliated Rescues of the Mid Atlantic, P.O. Box 268 Bena, VA 23018.
