Michael Mandich

Michael L. "Mike" Mandich, 39, passed away unexpectedly. Born in Reading, he was the beloved son of Annette Heydt and the late Keith Mandich.

Mike attended school at Governor Mifflin and went on to specialize in welding.

He enjoyed being outdoors, riding dirt bikes and e-bikes, four wheeling, fishing, and cooking. He had a passion for gardening and was proud of his beautiful flowers. Mike also found joy in visiting flea markets. In addition, he attended church. Above all, Mike cherished spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his charming smile and his love of the Philadelphia Eagles.

In addition to his mother, those left to treasure his memory are his step-father, Douglas Heydt, Jr.; step siblings, Jennifer Good and Douglas Heydt III; aunts, Marianne LeBlanc, partner of John Eisenbise, and Linda Cucinotta; step-aunt, Alison Wilkins; uncles, Francis McCaul and David McCaul, husband of Barbara; cousins: Francis Morrissey III, Matt LeBlanc and Jaqcqueline LeBlanc; and a step-cousin, Courtney (Wilkins) Hoover. He will also be missed by his dog, Morgan, and his turtle, Zeus.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. A viewing will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Those in attendance are encouraged to wear their Eagles gear.
