Michael A. Constanty

Gunners Mate, Second Class Michael A. Constanty, USN, 28, of Lynnwood, WA. died October 14, 2016 in Maidencreek Township. Michael was born in Sayre, PA February 28, 1988 and was the son of Nancy A. Letcher fiancé of Michael Weiss, Pottsville and James J. Constanty companion of Chris Zablosky, Shamokin. Michael was a 2006 graduate of Fleetwood High School. He was a Gunners Mate, Second Class, Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, USS Gridley, Everett, Washington. In addition to his to his parents, his companion, Carla Salomon, Lynnwood, WA, grandmother, Elizabeth Constanty, Shamokin, sister Amy M. wife of Ryan Burkey, Mohrsville, James A. Constanty, Las Vegas and his beloved nephew, Jackson J. Burkey, survives Michael. Michael was a loving grandson, son and brother and loved his family dearly. A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11:30 AM from the First United Church of Christ, 76 South Third Street, Hamburg, PA. A visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:30 AM at the church. Burial will follow in Schuylkill Memorial Park with full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Navy & Marine Corp Relief Society, 875 N. Randolph Street, STE 225, Arlington, VA 22203. The Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., Hamburg is in charge of arrangements.
