Michael Joseph Cambardella, 42, passed away on October 6, 2025, in his Shillington home. Born in Reading, Michael was the son of Michele and William Cambardella, Sinking Spring. He graduated from Wilson High School, West Lawn, during which time he founded and led a local chapter of Junior State of America, a student managed debate and simulated political process organization, and was elected to Regional Leadership for the East Coast. Upon graduation he pursued his education at the University of Chicago. Michael was intellectually brilliant, generous to a fault and passionately loved all living beings. We will remember him for his strong hugs, authentic presence to those he loved during difficult times and never giving up. He was a gifted communicator, a talented salesman and a true seeker of Wisdom.
He is survived by his parents, his sister Cara Maria Anderson, brother-in-law Steve Anderson of Galena, OH, his cherished nieces Mariana and Elia Maria, step-nephew Grant; Uncle Eugene Staschak and his wife Sara; Aunt Mary Kamberger and her husband John, many other family members and friends, and his beloved cat, Cleo(petra). He is predeceased by his grandparents, Joseph and Eleanor Cambardella and Eugene and Mary Staschak; Uncle Louis Cambardella, Aunt Cindy Cambardella and Aunt Terry Staschak.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am followed by the service at 11:00 am. A private Green Burial will precede the gathering.
