Michael J. Aschenbrenner

Michael James Aschenbrenner, 55, died July 8, 2008 in his Wyomissing residence.

Born November 17, 1952 in Reading, he was a son of the late George Henry Aschenbrenner and Gerardine Mary (Otterbein) Aschenbrenner.

He was a graduate of St. Paul's Elementary School, Reading; 1970 graduate of Central Catholic High School and a 1974 graduate of Allentown College.

Michael was employed 25 years as an accountant with the Reading Housing Authority.

He was a member of St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

Michael is survived by four siblings; Rev. George A. Aschenbrenner, S.J. of Scranton; Henry J. husband of Marcella A. (Geerinck) Aschenbrenner of Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County; Richard G. husband of Mary (Jacobs) Aschenbrenner of Cumru Township and Katherine R. wife of James Stachula of St. Charles, Missouri.

There are also several nieces and nephews surviving.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 am in St. Paul's R.C. Church, 151 North 9th Street, Reading. A viewing will be held Friday 6:00 - 7:30 pm in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
