Meta J. Gallo

Meta J. Gallo (Wehr), 89, formerly of Wyomissing, died October 3, 2015, in Berks Heim.

Her husband, Roger Gallo, died May 31, 2006.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Peg Wehr.

She was graduate of Reading High School in 1943 and Juilliard School of Music in 1947.

Meta loved music and served as the church organist for many years and enjoyed singing in her church choir at West Lawn Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Mark Oxenreider and daughter-in-law, Sharon Oxenreider of Womelsdorf; step-son Roger L. Gallo and daughter-in-law, Cheryl Gallo, Wyomissing; sister Barbara, wife of Charles Kerper, Flying Hills; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Susan Clapper and step-daughter Barbara A. Gallo.

Private family graveside services will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity or organization of your choosing in honor of Meta J. Gallo. Edward J.
